Andrea Doria Collection

During one of Bert's travels he met someone (unknown to me) who had dived and recovered dishes from the Andrea Doria. They traded shipwreck artifacts. Bert recieved the set shown here and the other person got a few things from the 1867 wreck of the RMS Rhone which went down during a hurricane in the British Virgin Islands.

By the time he past away Bert had added a few more items to his Andrea Doria collection. I'm now offering the whole lot as a complete set.

This collection consists of; 1 - 9 1/4" soup bowl, 1 - 9 1/4" dinner plate, 1 - 1 1/4" cup & 1 - 5" Saucer, a May 27, 1953 Tourist Class 6" x 8" Dinner Menu from the ship, a copy of the July 26, 1956 Los Angeles Times front page, the Sept. 17, 1956 issue of LIFE magazine, the Jan. 1967 issue of SKIN DIVER magazine, The 1989 hard cover book by Gary Gentile -" ANDREA DORIA - DIVE TO AN ERA" in excellent condition, a soft cover copy of the 2004 book by Joe Haberstroh - "FATAL DEPTH" in perfect NEW condition, a newspaper book review by Terry Tomlin written about "FATAL DEPTH" and various Internet printouts.

The dishes have each got an ID / Certification tag with it and they are all in great condition!
