Most
of these artifacts were
brought up from the wreck of the RMS Rhone located in the British
Virgin Islands. The Rhone sank in 1867 during a hurricane. They
remained underwater for about 100 years. They were recovered
by Bert Kilbride, in the 1960's.
About
the Bottles: Since these bottles have been under the sea for
over 100 years no two are exactly alike. Each one has it's own
age and wear characteristics. Time and the sea has treated each
one a little differently.
All
artifacts below come with it's
own Certificate of Authenticity. The certificate has a photo
of the exact artifact you will receive, it's number, a full
description which includes a list of identifying marks, and
the height & width of the artifact. Each Certificate is
signed and dated by Bert Kilbride and stamped with the Pirate
Treasures Ltd. company seal.
Everything
listed on this page is either a "One OF A Kind" or
in limited supply so don't wait. The first to pay it the person

Rhone
Dinner Plate #3
(Plates
#1 & #2 have been sold)
These
plates have become very rare. We will not be selling any
more of these. On the back there is a
stamp but I can't make out what it says. There is also
a blue emblem that reads REAL IRONSTONE CHINA with a coat
of arms and the word HANLEY.
This
plate measure 9 1/2 inches across. It is Ironstone China.
This
plate has coral covering the front emblem but the underside
emblem and stamp are clearly visible.

Oil Lamp
This
is the metal part or top to an oil lamp.
It measures
3 1/2 inches across and is 5 inches tall. It looks to
be brass. Still has coral on it.

Latch
This is flat on the under side. Who knows, maybe it's
from the Captains Rum locker.
It measures
3 1/4 inches long and the hook is 1 1/4 inches.

This is a broken
off piece of a pot lid. Similar to the thumb piece of
a beer stein. I don't know what kind of metal it is
but it's heavy for it's size.
This measures
1 inch and 1 1/2 inch along the length of it and 3/4
inch at the widest part.

These are decorative
bolts probably from a staircase banister or a railing.
Both screw ends still work on one but onl one on the
other can be removed. I only have two of these. One
has a slight bend on one end. The other is straight.
They are probably brass.
Each measures
4 3/4 inches long and a tiny bit over 1 inch at the
widest part.
