Bert and I are now back in Idaho. There is 3 feet of snow in our back yard ......

but inside the condo is nice and toasty. Bert spends most of his time in his room surrounded by his most treasured items. He gets on the computer every day to check his email and watches a lot of TV.

Our news happening was Tyrel moving to Boise. That's right our baby boy has left the nest. :-) He will be looking for work this week and hopefully we will hear about it soon. He moved there with a friend last Friday, March 17th.

Soon Bert and I will have this place to ourselves. Tim, my nephew, is currently looking for a travel trailer to pull behind his truck. He will stay in the driveway for a month and then who knows. The world will be his.

I have been very busy trying to get rid of a lot of my stuff on eBay. Between Bert and I we have a large storage room full of STUFF. My eBay store is named Treasures 'n Trash. Believe me, we have plenty of both. I'm trying to get down to a three bedroom house.

Since I'm busy with eBay we have asked a friend of Bert's to take over writing his book. He should be here in April. He says he is very excited about the project. He stayed with us for about three weeks. His book should be available in summer of 2007.

 

June 2006

It's hurricane season once again and there is already a tropical storm in the Atlantic heading to Florida. I'm on the phone trying to get someone to deliver the Land Yacht here to Idaho. I'm talking to Chip Nary who has a friend, Larry Klocko, who can do it. He will be on his way tomorrow. Before he can get out of Nokomis the wind from the tropical storm takes off one of my air conditioner covers and there is water damage to my ceiling inside. Now I already new the Air Con cover was broken and there is another small vent cover I replaced with some tupper ware. Plus I hit the awning when we were in Big Sur last years. So I know it needs some repairs. We can't get it fixed before he heads out. He runs into a storm near Denver, Colorado which didn't help. In Salt Lake City he finds a Camping World and stays for 3 days. He gets all repairs done. New Air Con cover, New awning, and a new small vent cover. What a guy! I spend the rest of June cleaning it top to bottom. It's looking like new again.

 

July 2006

A couple of weeks ago I was taking Bert to the Doctor for his knees. He's having trouble walking. I got him out of his room and we got to the steps to the front door when he just froze. He was affraid to step down to get out side. I called our room mate, Michelle, to come help me. Thank goodness she was home. I don't know what I would have done without her. We finally got Bert into the car but that whole episode scared me. I decided within a day or two that we needed to move into the Land Yacht. So here we are again.

I've decided to move into the Land Yacht once again and head to Northern California. Tim went to Etna to help take care of his grandmother. When he got there he called me to tell me that that area was exactly what I had been describing as what I wanted for my retirement home. I decided that Bert, me and the dogs would move into the Land Yacht and follow Tim back to Etna.

 

August 2006

Well here we are in Etna, Calif. Bert was sick the day we drove out of Idaho. I told him we could put the trip off but he still wanted to leave Idaho. We followed Tim into the RV Park in Etna. it's pretty nice. We are in a large Valley with pine covered hills and mountains all around us. It is the kind of area I have been looking for. Bert says he doesn't care where he is as long as I'm there.

 

September 2006

I've put my condo on the market and have been looking around at some property here in Scott Valley. I've found a really nice piece I like a lot. Now we'll see if the timimg is right. It will happen if my cosmic engineers think it should.

In the mean time I have brought all our worldly goods from Idaho and put it into storage here in Etna. There are storage units right in the lot next to us. I have rented 5 of them to be able to not only store the stuff but to have a couple of the units to work out of. Online selling here I come. I am gearing up to put stuff for sale on eBay and in an online store. Plus Bert wants me to sell some of his artifacts. I will post those on eBay, my online store and on this site. Check back soon.
